  1. General

    The terms and Conditions below apply to the use of this web site www.ulverstonmeatcompany.com, and by accessing the web site and / or placing an order with us you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this web site.

  2. Making a Purchase

    You will need to create an account with us on our website before making a purchase; this enables you to store all your billing details so you don't have to enter them every time you place an order with us. You can browse our website by clicking on the categories at the top of the website. When you click on a product you simply choose the number of packs you require and Click the "Buy Now" button. This item will then be added to your shopping cart / basket ready for the check out process. Once all products have been added to your cart / basket you will be prompted to login, if you aren't already logged in, before you make your purchase. Follow the easy online instructions throughout the check out process to finalise your order. Once your payment details have been entered and you confirm your order, your payment will instantly be processed by our acquiring bank. You should receive an instant email conformation once your order has been submitted stating what you have ordered, the value of order, and the date you have requested for collection. If you don’t receive your conformation email within 1 working hour, please contact us to confirm your order has been received successfully. Telephone operated between 8 am and 5 pm (Monday to Friday), 8 am and 2 pm (Saturday)

  3. Remittance terms

    Orders will only be created once full payment has been received and cleared.

  4. Delivery / Collection

    The Ulverston Meat Company offers a collection and local delivery service.

    When placing your order you select a day for collection from our factory shop in Ulverston or you can enter your postcode and select a day for delivery. This can be the following day if orders are placed the day before and placed before 12 noon (postcode dependent for delivery) or on any future day we have availability.

    When you place your orders online through you will receive an email confirming your order, the value and the day of collection or delivery you have requested.

    If you fail to collect on the day you have nominated we will hold your product in our chillers and contact you to remind you of your non collection.

  5. Product Packaging

    All products are packed either in Vac pack Bags or cling filmed wrapped packaging.

  6. Product Labelling

    All the usual necessary information is on the label. Product Name, Ingredients, Use by Date if fresh or Frozen, Weight and Price.

  7. Unfulfilled Orders

    In the unlikely event that we are unable to meet your on line order, we will contact the customer by telephone or email as soon as possible. A full refund will be issued.

    If we are unable to meet a small part of an order, we will contact the customer by telephone or email as soon as possible and offer an alternative product to a similar value or offer a part refund or a full refund will be issued.

  8. Guarantee of satisfaction

    If for any reason a customer is dissatisfied with the products that they have received they should contact us within 24 hours of collection.

    All complaints will be dealt with personally and immediately. The Ulverston Meat Company will undertake to resolve all complaints to the customer’s satisfaction within 7 days of contacting The Ulverston Meat Company Ltd.

    Where a claim of defect or damage is made, the goods may have to be returned by the customer to us within the best before date or use by date on the product. The customer shall be entitled to a replacement or a full refund if the goods are in fact defective.

  9. Statutory Rights are not affected

    We regret we are not able to accept returned goods or claims for goods ordered in error, due to their perishable nature.

  10. Cancellation of online click and collect orders

    We regret that due to the very short timescale involved in processing fresh meat, orders cannot be amended or cancelled once they have been placed.

  11. Copyright

    The design, text, graphics, images, applications, software, underlying source code and all other aspects are the copyright of The Ulverston Meat Company Ltd. In accessing these web pages, you agree that any downloading of content is for personal, non commercial reference only and you must seek permission from The Ulverston Meat Company Ltd before doing so. No part of this web site may be reproduced or copied and images are the property / copy righted to The Ulverston Meat Company Ltd.

  16. How we manage your nominated Club income

    With total confidentiality as to incomes generated. If either ourselves or yourselves want to publicly make a statement etc as to income generated we must seek each other permission.

    • Once we have received your banking account details.
    • Information about your group, charity or club etc – so customers know what their contribution is being used for. Basically a brief paragraph Recognised logo if you have one and a link to your main web site.
    • Customers then order through “click and Collect”
    • They select you as the beneficiary of the 3%
    • They collect their order from the factory.
    • At the month end we calculate the money that has been contributed to your selected group etc. We then transfer this income to your nominated account by BACS payment.
  17. Liability

    All content and services on this website are provided at the users own risk and The Ulverston Meat Company Ltd does not make any representation or give any warranty in respect of the website and its content.
