What products do you sell?

We have a wide range of meat products available, to suit both individuals and families, all priced at unbelievable prices. We consistently have and promote special offers on our social accounts - these are in-shop only offers, meaning they can't be bought online. Why can't I find the product I am looking for?

If there is something you can't find please contact us here. We stock an extremely wide range of products in the game, poultry, red meat and white meat sectors. However most of these products need to be weighed therefore we can't offer them online. If you call the office we are certain we will be able to sort something to meet your requirements. 

 

Do you do deliveries?

What is the latest time I can place an order for delivery or collection?

Orders can be placed until 12pm the previous day subject to your postcode being eligible for delivery.

Do you charge for delivery?

We offer free delivery on all orders of £25 or more, a £5 charge will be added to your order for any order under £25. 

Do you offer a courier service?

At the moment we don't offer a courier service however we are investigating this and will update the website and on Facebook when this is available. Please follow us to keep updated.

I am collecting my order - What time are you open until?

This depends where you are collecting from. We have 2 collection hubs, one in Ulverston, and one in Kendal. 

Ulverston Collection Times:

Monday: 8am - 3pm

Tuesday: 8am - 3pm

Wednesday: 8am - 3pm

Thursday: 8am - 3pm

Friday: 8am - 3pm

Saturday: 8am - 12pm

Sunday: Closed

 

Kendal Collection Times:

Monday: Closed

Tuesday: Closed

Wednesday: 9am - 2pm

Thursday: 9am - 2pm

Friday: 9am - 1pm

Saturday: 9am - 11am

Sunday: Closed

 

How are your products packed?

Either cling film wrapped in trays or vac packed.

Are you products fresh or frozen?

We sell both fresh and frozen products. All the fresh products have use by dates on their packaging, including an 'If Frozen' use by date if you wish to freeze the product at home.

What information is on the label?

All the usual necessary information - Product Name, Ingredients, Allergens, Use by Date if fresh or frozen, Weight and Price.

Can products be frozen at home?

Yes – products can be frozen, if they have been bought fresh and managed correctly. There is a use by if frozen date on the packaging.

Do you do seasonal promotions?

Yes – Throughout the year we offer seasonal promotions for BBQ’s, Christmas, Easter, Family packs, as well as buy 3 packs for £10 & 2 for £18 on selected item, including FREE Giveaways.

Can we buy online and from the Factory Shop?

Our products are available to buy online for home delivery as well as click & collect. You can also purchase products in our Factory Shop in Ulverston. 

 

What payment methods do you take online and in the Factory Shop?

Within the shop due to current regulations card payments are preferred within the shop. We accept all major debit and credit cards except for American Express online and in store.

 

What happens if I’m not in when you to try deliver?

Please contact the shop if you know you may not be in when we will be delivering to you. We will do our best to rearrange delivery or to drop off your delivery in a safe place or with a neighbour. 

 

What happens if I’m late or miss picking up my purchases?

Your order will be held in the fridge labelled until you can collect. Once orders have been prepared and bagged refunds cannot be given. If you fail to collect we will call you on the number you have provided when ordering as a reminder.

What Allergen Advice is on the packing?

To the best of our knowledge – all products that have been either manufactured or had a dusting / sauce added will show any allergen information on the packaging.

Do you have Gluten Free Sausages?

No, unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer gluten free sausages.


Do you offer an online loyalty card? 

At present we are unable to offer this service online however you can still collect your loyalty stamps when you shop with us in store. 


Do you offer a Bluelight discount?

Yes! We are able to offer a Bluelight discount in our factory shop only.

Where do you buy your meat from?

UMC takes pride in all products it buys to satisfy both our customer taste and financial requirement. Our sourcing policy is local, regional, national and international. BUT our initial drive is always British wherever possible.
